MOSCHINO
Challenge:
Develop a concept based on Moschino’s existing Collezione 0.
COLLEZIONE 0
CHARMED BUT ARMED
The most dangerous kind of rebellion is the one that looks polite.
MOSCHINO RECLAIMS THE SYMBOLS OF DISCIPLINE AND POLITENESS, TRANSFORMING THEM INTO ACTS OF REBELLION.
In a world that reads appearances like headlines, Collezione 0 turns the page. Fashion items like pearls, ruffles, and suspenders have long signaled politeness, discipline, and conformity. But Moschino reclaims these symbols and explores the tension between how someone presents themselves and who they truly are underneath.
Collezione 0 challenges the assumption that elegance means following the rules, or that refinement means lacking resistance. It taps into a new kind of rebellion – one that’s dressed to impress, yet designed to disrupt.
What if the most radical person in the room is also the most composed? Because sometimes, the person who appears the most put together is the one holding it together with fire inside.
REBELLION STARTS WITH A QUESTION
We always tend to seek answers, but Moschino introduces Collezione 0 by celebrating the courage to ask. The question mark is the start of everything. It is the symbol of doubt, curiosity, and resistance. Because the boldest don’t shout. They ask.
SUSPENDERS
HOLD IT TOGETHER, BUT NEVER PLAY BY THE RULES
Historically, suspenders signal control or discipline. Here, they dangle freely and are used in a fun, playful way, turning the idea of structure on its head.
RUFFLES
SOFT ONLY AT FIRST GLANCE
Ruffles have long been tied to high-status – seen as soft, romantic, and proper. But ruffles were never meant to stay quiet. They are a visual riot, breaking symmetry, and interrupting clean lines. They refuse to stay flat, minimal, or contained.
PEARLS
A MIDDLE FINGER IN DISGUISE
Pearls are known as the final touch. They’re the sign of having it all together. But in Moschino, they’re everywhere. Too big. Too many. Too much. Pearls exaggerate what’s proper – a form of mocking perfection.
SMILE
THE POLITEST WAY TO REBEL
They say the best accessory you can wear is a smile. But a smile can mean anything. It’s a mask. And it’s the politest way to rebel. Moschino turns the smile into a subtle flip off, proving that you can disrupt everything without ever raising your voice.
